Cry of Fear is a 2012 psychological horror singleplayer game developed by Team Psykslallar. First created as a Half-Life 1 mod, it was released officially on the Steam platform in 2013 thanks to Steam's Greenlight program.

The game stars Simon Henriksson, a 19-year-old who opens the game with trying to help an injured man, and promptly getting hit by a car. He wakes up somewhere in Stockholm, Sweden's alleyways and tries to make his way home, but ends up chased by strange monsters and faced with horrific incidents. Along the way, he encounters Dr Purnell and his high school crush, Sophie, both of whom are directly tied to the game's four potential endings.

Cry of Fear used to have a multiplayer campaign that involved playing as a police officer who stumbled across Simon's alternate Sweden, rife with monsters, but these servers have since been shut down.
