As part of the former heavenly trio along with Sachi and Tatsuta Rindou, she is a former malign spirit who abandoned her grudge to become a ghost, and serves as a form of "mentor" to Ran.

She somehow accidentally passed on her powers to Ran through a chest groping when she first met her.

As a vengeful spirit, she used a pillar of the house her lover was murdered in to seek vengeance upon his murderer. She now keeps it as a hammer she uses to keep Rindou in line through percussive discipline when Rindou starts getting too perverted with children.

In fact, she's most often seen whacking random characters with something.
