zold out

A tactical gacha RPG with deckbuilding mechanics for mobile platforms and PC, developed and currently published by Hong Kong-based developer company C4Cat Entertainment, and previously published by Chinese publisher NetEase. Initially a Kickstarter project from 2017, it received an initial release in Japan as "Zold:Out～鍛冶屋の物語""Zold:Out~A Blacksmith's Tale" by NetEase in 2020, before shutting down in 2022. C4Cat would later release the game in Chinese in 2021, and globally (subsequently relaunching JP) in 2023.

It follows the story of two young men: a blacksmith named Helide and a merchant named Oscar. Together with Helide's mysterious maid Lorna, elven lover-of-cuteness Mamie, and later enigmatic hunter Zelena, they go from place to place gathering materials and learning new techniques, all to pull Helide's weapons shop out of bankruptcy, while unwittingly getting involved in a conspiracy that may endanger the world peace that the two young men desire to protect.
