A fictional mecha from the Gundam series. It first appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam from 1979.
MS-05B Zaku I
The predecessor of Zeon's massively successful and popular Zaku II series of mobile suits. Commonly referred to as the "Old Zaku", it had a lower output and suffered from overheating issues, but performed well enough against the Federation's weak forces. It was well liked by its pilots, and some units were kept even when the Zaku II was introduced. A number of specialist and customized variants were also put in service, such as the commander type and later on the Zaku I Sniper Type.
