Liyue's sole rock 'n' roll musician. She rebels against ossified prejudices using her music and passionate singing. Xinyan's performances can get so intense that her impromptu stage is set ablaze, often burning the surroundings. Xinyan insists that these pyrotechnics are the apex of performative art, and that they are physical phenomena that have nothing to do with her Vision.
She has dark, tanned skin, amber eyes, and dark brown hair, which she wears pulled back into two pigtails with spiked bands. One lock at the front of her hair is a dark red. Xinyan wears a black-brown tank top and white shorts, with a red and white vest with flared red, black and white sleeves. She has a black and red ribbon tied around her right leg, and a netted sock on her left. Xinyan typically carries a white, brown, and red square lute with an axe-like bottom.
Her name is pronounced Shin'en in the Japanese version of the game.
