wrecking crew

A 1985 puzzle game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System and the second Wrecking Crew game. It's based on the arcade game of the similar name that released a year prior, Vs. Wrecking Crew, but focuses more on a single player puzzle game aspect than the competitive multiplayer of it's arcade counterpart.

Mario & Luigi are demolition men who are tasked to destroy all the breakable walls in a given level to clear the stage (called "Phases"). They must find a way to accomplish this while navigating the roaming monsters hot on their tail, frequent fireballs spawning and a rival demolition man Spike trying to break the wall they're near to knock them down.

A stage based on this game was added to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
