voltron (series)
A United States dub and combination of two unrelated science fiction anime - Hyakujuu-ou GoLion and Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV - that originally ran from 1983 to 1985, produced by World Events Productions. World Events Productions created original western-produced installments in the franchise, and later acquired the rights to both of the original Japanese series used to create the first Voltron.
It stars the titular mecha Voltron, the name being used to refer to the titular mechas of the original series Voltron is based on, GoLion (Lion Voltron) and Dairugger XV (Vehicle Voltron).
