A fur pattern for domestic cats, it can be stripe-like (similar to a tiger) or dotted pattern (similar to a leopard) along the body with a distinctive M-like pattern on the forehead. The tabby coat pattern is very common and can appear on any coat color that isn't pure black or white. Many breeds of cat can have this pattern.
