The 17.5th game of the Touhou series. Made by Tasofro and Team Shanghai Alice. It's described as a "horizontal side-scrolling danmaku water action game" on the official website. The character art is done by TOKIAME who previously worked on Cage in Lunatic Runagate.

Trial versions were released on October 6th, 2019 and October 18th, 2020.

The game was officially released at Autumn Reitaisai on October 24, 2021. On October 20th, 2022, it was released for the Nintendo Switch with the English title Submerged Fossil World.
