sliver (magic: the gathering)
Slivers are creatures from the series Magic: The Gathering. They share a hive mind that allows them to share their abilities with other nearby slivers. The original slivers were depicted with an armored vertebrate body, a long bifurcated whip-like tail, one arm with a single talon for a hand, and a singular head with an armored crest. The ability of a sliver further builds and creates different variations of this base design. Some particularly evolved forms of sliver have a humanoid appearance.
