Shinka Musume is a Chinese Virtual Uploader (虚拟UP主/VUP), originally created in 2013 to be the official 'mascot'/micro-blog image for China Central Television's Shinka Animation Channel. She was popular due to her original design sporting a distinct Beijing school uniform, but the channel went silent shortly after the reveal.
Later, in 2019, she was reintroduced as a virtual UP host on Bilibili. While she initially retained the red scarf she wore for her new redesign, emblematic of Chinese students, due to no longer being associated with CCTV and her original channel, the scarf was dropped.
