sailor moon (toon makers)

A proof of concept project headed by Toon Makers, Renaissance Atlantic, and Bandai, developed between 1993 and 1994 during the bidding for Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon's western release license. Bandai lost the bidding in favor of DiC's English dub. It uses a hybrid of live-action sequences and animation sequences. This is also known as Saban Moon due to it being mistaken as a production by Saban since the concept is very similar to the Power Rangers franchise. This was considered lost media for a long time until it was found in the Library of Congress in August 2022.
