predator (series)
A science fiction action/thriller media franchise produced by 20th Century Studios. Primarily revolves around the titular species of alien and their encounters with humans and other alien species who they hunted for sport.
Three more sequels were produced after the 1987 movie of the same name, called Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010) and The Predator (2018) respectively. A prequel set before the previous movies, titled Prey directed by Dan Trachtenberg, was released in 2022. Due to Prey's positive reviews, Trachtenberg would return to direct two new Predator movies, Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated anthology movie, and Predator: Badlands, a live action movie set in the future, with both movies set to be released in 2025 on Hulu and theaters respectively.
Often has a crossover with the Alien franchise.
