His starfighter of choice is the T-70 X-Wing, an advanced version of the T-65 X-Wing fighter.

Poe Dameron was born in a planet called Yavin 4.

Poe first appeared in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film from 2015 and he is played by Guatemalan/American actor Oscar Isaac.

Coincidentally, the planet Yavin 4 where his character was born appeared in the first Star Wars film from 1977 and its scenes were filmed in the country of Guatemala, Isaac's place of origin.
