'Nautilus', but with a long straight cone-shaped shell.

An extinct nautiloid cephalopod. Often found in fossils in real life, in different places distributed throughout the world. Traditionally, all nautiloids with an "orthocone" shell were grouped under the genus Orthoceras, though current research has revealed them to belong to different groups and orders.
