nashi (1945)

Imperial Japanese Navy's Tachibana escort destroyer laid down in September 1944, launched in January 1945, commissioned in March 1945. Sank by carrier launched planes from USN Task Force 38 in July 1945. Nashi was salvaged in 1954 and was commissioned into Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force as JDS Wakaba (earning her the honor of being only IJN warship to also serve in JMSDF), Wakaba spent next decade and half in JMSDF before being removed from service in early 1971 and getting scrapped in 1973.
