moonlight butterfly (gundam)

The most dangerous weapon of both the Turn A Gundam and the Turn X mecha from the Turn A Gundam anime series - as well as the G-Lucifer from Gundam G no Reconguista. These are strange, colorful butterfly wings made of pure energy that emit from the Turn units when the attack is active. It is said that the attack has three requirements, the nanomachines, the energy to use them, and finally the program to activate it.

At full power, the Moonlight Butterfly can cover a wide range (from Earth to Jupiter), while turning most if not all technologies into silicon dioxide (sand). Lastly, the Moonlight Butterfly can be used as a defense of sorts as it can easily defend against both beam and physical attacks.

To date, it is still the most powerful Gundam super weapon in the entire franchise.
