momotarou dentetsu

Momotaro Dentetsu is a long-running board game-style video game series in Japan; in which players travel by rail, ship, and airplane; attempting to acquire wealth through business transactions by buying properties; and dealing with rival entrepreneurs and nemeses such as the God of Poverty.

It's a spin-off of Momotarou Densetsu (though more popular than it) and features some characters from the series such as Momotarou and Yashahime.
It also has its own characters like King Bonbii, the aforementioned poverty god who takes many forms.

The game series has been very successful with nearly 20 entries and continued even after Hudson was acquired by Konami, and managing to sell over a million copies since.
