mobile suit gundam the origin

A manga adaptation of the original Mobile Suit Gundam, written and illustrated by Yasuhiko Yoshikazu. Published from June 25, 2001 to June 25, 2011, and then followed by an adaptation of the Doan's Island episode that ran from June 25, 2016 to August 25, 2019.

The manga was partially adapted into a 6-episode series of OVAs released between 2015 to 2018. These OVA episodes primarily focused on a younger Char Aznable, and his pre-OYW backstory. The OVAs were later recut into 13 TV-length episodes that aired in the 2019 Spring season.
