Misty from Pokémon wearing her costume mermaid tail that was first shown in "Hanada Gym! Underwater Battle!" (ハナダジム! すいちゅうのたたかい!, Hanada Jimu! Suichū no Tatakai!), episode 63 of the first Pokémon anime series, Pokémon: Indigo League, which aired on 3 September 1998 in Japan, later aired on 23 September 1999 in the United States as "The Misty Mermaid".
