mehve

メーヴェ

A one-person glider from Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa. Of flying wing configuration, it is powered by a single engine buried in its midsection and has skid landing gear. The manga version has small tip-dragger-type rudders at the end of the wing fairings; the movie version lacks these.

'"Mehve" is the German word "Moewe", which means "seagull" in English.' [2]
