luigi's mansion
A subseries in the Mario franchise, starring Luigi as the main character. In the game, Luigi goes through a haunted mansion to rescue Mario - who is trapped in a painting by King Boo - by using a vacuum cleaner called the Poltergust 3000, which is used to catch ghosts.
Games
- Luigi's Mansion: The original game for the Nintendo Gamecube released in 2001, featuring the Poltergust 3000, and the infamous Mansion known across the franchise.
- Luigi's Mansion 2 (Dark Moon in America): The Nintendo 3DS sequel released in 2013, now going through a mission-based storyline across 5 new mansions and the debut of the Poltergust 5000.
- Luigi's Mansion Arcade: The arcade game released in 2015. A light gun shooter based on Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, featuring much of the same locations, enemies and story.
- Luigi's Mansion 3DS: A 3DS remake of the original Gamecube game in 2018, including all the original mechanics as well as improved graphics and the debut of Gooigi.
- Luigi's Mansion 3: A Halloween 2019 release, taking the setting inside a Haunted Hotel, and introducing the Poltergust G-00, further introducing Gooigi as a major mechanic in the game.
