kirov (azur lane)

キーロフ(アズールレーン) キーロフ 基洛夫

Azur Lane's personification of the Soviet light cruiser Kirov. Character designed by Nagu and voiced by Uesaka Sumire.

Appearance

Originally revealed in the Northern Overture event on January 2020, she was made playable in the Khorovod of Dawn's Rime event in February 2021. By that point, her character design (Danbooru post #3810553) underwent a slight revision and update (Danbooru post #4384559).

As drawn by Nagu, she is portrayed with very long white hair and grayish-blue eyes. She wears a white fur-trimmed coat over a white dress that shows her cleavage, a black skirt, pantyhose, and white fur-trimmed boots. She also wears a white papakha.

Her rig is animalistic in style, like Ironblood, but unpainted and crusted in ice. Her historical 190 mm triple gun mounts are placed on either side, and noticeable are the chains wrapped around the rig.

History

In real life, Kirov was designed with Italian assistance, based off the Condottieri-class light cruisers but enlarged to take in existing 190 mm guns in the Soviet inventory and to provide better protection from the harsher weather conditions.
She was commissioned in 1938 and sold for scrap in 1974.
