Karlach is a female tiefling barbarian who was sold to the archdevil Zariel to become her prized soldier.

Her heart has been replaced by an Infernal Engine, making her burst into flames if under extreme emotion, But her heart can't survive outside of Avernus and will kill her if she doesn't return.
