A character exclusive to Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai's drama adaptation. Izumi Kyouka's amnesiac boyfriend and former photographer.

His namesake is the Japanese author Edogawa Ranpo (whose birth name is Hirai Tarou), and his character was based off of Katahira Mai's boyfriend from the "DNA" one-shot manga of the series.
