hibachi (dodonpachi)

The true final boss of many games in the DoDonPachi series, often found at the end of an extremely difficult second playthrough. Hibachi typically begins as a giant mechanical bee (often called Hachi); once that form is defeated, it reveals a second form: a smaller ablaze bee, and real hell begins.

In Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, an Elemental Doll known as Hina takes the form of Hibachi, and later Inbachi.

An earlier alternate form is seen in Daifukkatsu Black Label called Zatsuza.

A form of Hibachi or Hachi also appeared at the end (or true final boss) of the very first game, DonPachi and compared to its descendents, very underwhelming.
