herbie (series)
The Herbie franchise is a series of films that center around Herbie, a sentient anthropomorphic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of his own. The vehicle is oftentimes a legitimate contender, though the underdog contestant in competitive races, but to a greater degree assists his human owners in bettering their lives.
There were six movies made in the following order:
"The Love Bug" - released in December 24th, 1968
"Herbie Rides Again" - released in June 6th, 1974
"Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo" - released in June 24th, 1977
"Herbie Goes Bananas" - released in June 25th, 1980
"Disney's The Love Bug" - released in November 30th, 1997
"Herbie: Fully Loaded" - released in June 22nd, 2005
