hans krebs

Hans Krebs (March 4th 1898 - May 2nd 1945) was a Wehrmacht general and one of 4 generals in the OKH's Chief of Staff (the others being Keitel, Jodl and Burgdorf.)

He was the one who opened surrender negotiations after the suicide of Hitler, but due to the refusal of Goebbels to adhere to terms of unconditional surrender they ended with no agreement and soon after; on May 2nd 1945, Krebs and Burgdorf commited suicide in the Führerbunker.

He is portrayed by Rolf Kanies in the 2004 movie, Der Untergang.
