halo installation

A series of seven Ringworld-like space stations found in the Halo series. Numbered as Installation 01 to 07 and dotted throughout the Milky Way galaxy, these stations contain very similar and recognizable architecture all throughout, and a human-habitable surface on the interior side of the ring with a number of different biomes. There are no fauna inhabiting those biomes, only flora, and each station is tended to by an AI caretaker. Additionally, outside the galaxy, there is the star-shaped Installation 00 that is much larger than the other Installations and can manufacture and position new Installations in place of any that are destroyed.

This tag can apply to the more straightforward depiction of an Installation from outside, or to the atmospheric perspective effect where the surface's upwards curve causes the entire station to be observable in the sky.
