grand moff tarkin

グランド・モフ・ウィルハフ・ターキン グランド・モフ・ターキン ウィルハフ・ターキン ターキン総督 ターキン WilhuffTarkin grandmofftarkin

A character from the Star Wars franchise and the main antagonist of the first film, A New Hope.

Wilhuff Tarkin, also known as Grand Moff Tarkin, was a thin, middle-aged Human male who was one of the most powerful officers in the Galactic Empire, a Grand Moff who shaped Imperial doctrine and was the driving force behind the creation of its key embodiment, the gargantuan planet-destroying superweapon, the Death Star, as well as its commander. Tarkin is portrayed by Peter Cushing in Star Wars.

Tarkin also appears in the films Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One, and in the animated series The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Bad Batch. He is featured in the 2014 novel Tarkin, which details his backstory and his rise to power within the Empire. In 2006, the entertainment website IGN called Tarkin "one of the most formidable villains" in Star Wars history.
