gomess

A dinosaur-like kaiju from Ultra Q, and the very first kaiju to appear in the Ultra Series. Like Jirass after it, it resembles Godzilla, in terms of design as well as having the same suit actor, Nakajima Haruo.

After being absent for decades, Gomess returned in Ultra Galaxy Mega Dai-Kaijuu Battle and became a reoccuring kaiju in the New Generation era. As a result, however, Gomess' size was boosted from its original 10 meters as to compete, with the size-increased versions receiving names to distinguish from the original. It is often used to make Godzilla references.
