gato (snk)

A character from SNK's Fatal Fury series. He made his debut in Garou: Mark of the Wolves as a newcomer, makes a returning appearance in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and made several appearances in The King of Fighters series.

Gato is an intense martial artist trained in kung fu who seeks vengeance against his father Gaoh for the death of his mother. He is constantly being chased by his younger sister, Hotaru Futaba, who just wants him to come home; he evades her to keep her safe and out of his business. In his arcade ending in Garou:MotW, he is blinded by a sneak attack from Gaoh; in the two years since and going into FF:CotW, his vision has more or less healed, but the encounter revealed a perceived weakness of his, so now he willingly fights blind.
