f-15 eagle

F-15 F-15C F-15E F-15J F-15DJ F-15SE F-15S/MTD F-15EX

The Boeing F-15 Eagle is a twin-engined fighter jet developed by McDonnell Douglas (now part of Boeing). It is one of the most easily recognized of the "Teen" series of fighters, with its prominent bubble canopy, dual vertical tailfins, sawtoothed elevators, and broad delta wing. It was designed in the 1960-1970s under the Fighter Experimental program as a replacement for the F-4 Phantom II and to counter aircraft like the MiG-25 with record-setting climb performance and impressive top speed while retaining good dogfight capability. Sometimes called the "Twin-tailed Tennis Court," due to its large size.

The air superiority models' armament includes air-to-air missiles and an internal 20mm cannon. The F-15E Strike Eagle variant, optimized for ground attack missions, carries an additional crew member in a second seat.
