douglas dc-10
A widebody trijet produced by American manufacturer McDonnell Douglas in the 1970s. Originally conceived as a twin-engined aircraft, it could carry a maximum of 380 passengers or 73,000 kg (161,000 lb) of freight. The third engine was mounted at the base of the vertical fin in a straight-through installation.
