countryball

カントリーボール ポーランドボール 波兰球 Polandball

A series of webcomics about the states of Earth drawn as their respective national flags in ball format, sometimes based on the histories and current politics of those states, sometimes just based on community in-jokes and absurdism. Also known as Polandball, as Polandball (the character) is the first countryball to be created and the start of the webcomics when it first appeared in late 2000s.

Characterized by [intentionally] badly drawn comics (often using MS Paint) and [intentionally done] bad spelling & grammar, as well as political incorrectness, national stereotypes, and historical facts. Polandball has become quite popular on certain parts of the Internet, entertaining (as well as educating) many on history, culture, and politics.

Alongside being used to tag the countryballs themselves, this tag is also used for posts which explicitly reference Countryball works or memes.
