charging bull
Charging Bull is a bronze sculpture by Italian-American sculptor Arturo Di Modica that stands on Broadway just north of Bowling Green in the Financial District of Manhattan in New York City. The bronze sculpture stands 11 feet (3.4 m) tall, 16 feet (4.9 m) long, and weighs 7,100-pounds (3,200 kg). The sculpture is supposed to represent the "bull" (rising) market and thriving economy.
On March 7, 2017 the bronze sculpture Fearless Girl was installed facing down Charging Bull. It was later moved in 2018 after complaints from Arturo Di Modica.
