Big Barda (also known as Barda Free) is an anti-superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.

She first appeared in Mister Miracle #4 (October 1971), and was created by Jack Kirby. Barda is very tall and has superhuman strength and endurance. She is usually seen wearing a superhero costume consisting of a red cape and a blue and golden armored uniform with a similarly colored helmet. Barda is also armed with an energy firing golden mace.

In real life Barda's physical appearance is based on actress Lainie Kazan , who at the time of the creation of the character had recently appeared topless in Playboy.

In 2011, Big Barda was ranked 75th in Comics Buyer's Guide's "100 Sexiest Women in Comics" list.
