asashio kai ni (kancolle)

Asashio's Kai Ni and Kai Ni D forms.

On her second remodel, she dresses the same way as Kasumi and Ooshio. Asashio wears a black pinafore dress over a long-sleeved white shirt, belt and black thighhighs. Her gear has been upgraded and torpedo launchers have been strapped to her thighs. In Asashio's alternate version (Kai Ni D) her main guns are replaced by anti-aircraft guns, her pinafore dress is covered by the white sleeved garment covering her shoulders, and her thighhighs are replaced by pantyhose.

Her Kai Ni D (a transport destroyer) reflects her final mission where she was sunk while escorting a convoy in the battle of the Bismarck Sea. Even her damaged lines as Kai Ni and Kai Ni D give reference to this battle.
