angra (band)
Brazilian power metal band formed on São Paulo in 1991 by André Matos, Rafael Bittencourt e André Linhares. the band is known for mixing the weight of power metal with elements of neo-classical and Brazilian music.
The band is divided into three eras according to the changes in vocalists: André Matos Era (1991 - 2000), Edu Falaschi Era (2000 - 2011) and Fabio Liore Era (2012 - Present)
Founder and vocalist André Matos passed away on June 8, 2019 as a result of cardiac arrest.
