amagi (battlecruiser) (kancolle)

Tag reserved for Amagi, the nameship of the Amagi-class battlecruisers and sister ship to Akagi, in the context of Kantai Collection.

Damaged beyond repair in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 while under going carrier conversion and was scrapped as a total constructive loss, she was then replaced for conversion (in accord to the Washington Naval Treaty) by Kaga, one of two ships big enough and far enough in construction to be available for conversion.

Not to be confused with Amagi, the Unryuu-class Aircraft Carrier.
