Alex Danvers (Full name: Alexandra Danvers) is a character from the CW Network's Supergirl TV series.

She is the older adopted sister of Kara Danvers/Supergirl, who was adopted by the Danvers family after Kara's escape pod landed on Earth years after the destruction of the planet Krypton and was found by her cousin Superman, who handed Kara to the Danvers for safety.

In the show, Alex is an agent of the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO), a secret government agency tasked with monitoring alien presence on Earth. Despite not being related by blood, both Alex and Kara cared for each other whenever they're in trouble. In season 2, Alex comes out as a Lesbian, who kept her sexuality a secret due to past trauma as a teenager due to being rejected by a girl she had a crush on.
