ダライ・ラマ14世 ダライ・ラマ
Born 6 July 1935 as Lhamo Thondup in Taktser, Amdo, Tibet; recognized as the 14th Dalai Lama in 1940.
His proper religious name is Tenzin Gyatso, shortened from Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso.
