A small, usually glass, vessel. Vials are typically used to contain small amounts of liquids or powders, especially medicine or chemical samples. They are made in various shapes and sizes, but typically small enough to be hold between fingers.
Generally speaking, this tag is used for small sealable glass containers for which no other tag would fit. Not to be confused with a plugged test tube, which is still considered a test tube.
