A semi-automatic 7.62×25mm handgun of Soviet origin, developed in 1930 by Fedor Tokarev for the Soviet military to replace the Nagant M1895. Initially designated as the TT-30, then slightly revised as the TT-33. It saw service during the World War II. The weapon uses short recoil operation with tilting barrel, akin to the M1911. Visually recognizable by its wide slide serrations, circular external hammer, and star symbol on the standard grip panels.
