Diphylleia grayi (lit. double-leaf of Gray) is a species of flowering plant of the genus Diphylleia in the family Berberidaceae (barberry family). It is known for its white flowers that become translucent in rain or high humidity, earning it the common name skeleton flower.
Diphylleia grayi flowers have six obovate white petals and six yellow stamens surrounding a green pistil in the center. After blooming, the flowers turn into blue to purple berries.
