A saurian alien race of bipedal creatures from Halo (series). They are a part of the Covenant, a conglomerate of several alien species.
Colloquially known to humans as Elites due to their role as both officers and highly-effective warriors within the Covenant's armed forces, their distinctive weapon is the Type 1 energy sword, though many make use of plasma guns like the covenant carbine.
