The smartest man in the multiverse and depressed alcoholic. Grandfather of Morty Smith and Summer Smith, father of Beth Smith and father-in-law of Jerry Smith.
There are multiple versions of this character from different universes in the series. This tag can be used when any one of them is portrayed.
Rick was originally voiced by Justin Roiland from Season 1 to 6 but was later replaced by Ian Cardoni starting Season 7 due to Roiland being fired due to domestic abuses charges and his increasing unprofessional behavior at work.
