It is an amphibious combat walker originally designed by the United States Marine Corps to counter the Metal Gear REX clones that spread all over the world. The original was stolen by the Patriots onboard the USS Discovery in 2007 during the events of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty.
A redesigned unmanned model was produced by the US Navy and the Patriots in 2009.
