Defacto official Final Fantasy XIV character of the original Dad of Light author.
On 10th December 2020 the official FFXIV Twitter (JP) posted regarding his passing.

Akio Inaba attempts to rekindle his bond with his retired and distant father Hirotaro through Final Fantasy XIV. Akio's plan is to connect with his father in-game and that it will expand into the real world.

The eight part mini-series was adapted from the original blog posts. It has also been adapted into a 2019 move titled Brave Father Online.
