Jerry was Bettel's former assistant during his debut, though most of their interactions consisted of Bettel yelling at Jerry for his mistakes, which eventually culminated in Jerry getting killed after being forced to carry a live bomb, thus reducing him to a skeleton.
If a skeleton appears in any illustrations featuring Bettel, chances are it's Jerry.
